History

The original Speculate Festival ran from 2018-2019 in Melbourne, Australia. It successfully sold out both years, including all workshops, author sessions, and education programs. The festival entered indefinite hiatus as a result of Melbourne’s 2020 Covid lockdowns, but continues today in partnership with RMIT University through the Speculate Prize for Emerging Writers.
